What are your thoughts on the soon to be released sequel to The Wind Waker? From what I've seen it looks great, even with the DS's limited power. I haven't reserved a copy yet, but I probably should, because if the game sells anything like it did in Japan, then reserving a copy would be a good idea. There's an article on PH in the new issue of Nintendo Power, but I haven't read it yet, as I'm kinda paranoid about spoilers. They also mention how it might be the 'best DS title ever' or something along those lines. It has already received great scores, with Famitsu giving it a 39/40.
I have no doubt it will be the best DS game ever, and I can't wait to get it. Do you know what the release date is? I could look, but, you know, laziness.
October 1st in the U.S. I have no idea for Europe though, but I think it's like 18 days later or something like that.
Oct 19th for Europe. I'll probably be importing it, though. What can I say about PH that hasn't already been said? The touch screen design looks great fun.
The should have made the "book" design meaning that you have to hold your DS vertically as a book. Aounuma said that he wanted to do it but thought otherwise later on.
As much as I adore the charming Wind Waker - I've really not been that enthused over PH - I'm really not that bothered. I wonder why... Hopefully I'll be more interested nearer the date.

Otherwise, you'd have people complaining that they get hit by enemies off-screen.
I finally read the NP article, and the games concept seems really cool. I don't want to spoil anything, even though this is minor: Basically, after you defeat the dungeon's boss, you collect sand that adds time to the hourglass which lets you explore the temple in which Tetra is being held for a longer amount of time. It's also become apparent that the game will be around 80 hours long, according to a video posted on www.IGN.com and www.Zelda Elements.com.
I'm sort of looking forward to it, I mean hello its a new Zelda game who doesn't want it, that posts on these forums. I'm hoping to not be let down by it, I heard there is goign to actually be a time dungeon, where you have a certain amount of time to complete it. Sounds fun!
Meh, I heard 30-50 hours myself, which sounds about right. All the increasing hype about this game concerns me. It's like TP all over again, which also suffered from being waaaay overhyped, such that Zelda fans expected the second coming of OoT. Now we have a similar phenomenon with this game, like a second coming of LA or MM. I personally loved TP, but that's because I tried to look at it objectively when I first got it and not let the hype dictate how it should turn out. Many others didn't and were disappointed. I fear the same thing happening with PH. As for me, I expect another good Zelda game (haven't played a bad one really, except perhaps OoA or AoL), which may or may not turn out to be my favorite or the best ever.
This is actually the first Zelda game in awhile where I'm not hoping for it to be like another. It seems too different to directly compare it to another game yet.
Eh.. I don't know about this game. The concept of using the stylus seems new and fresh but at the same time looks to be a bit frustrating and clunky. Well I haven't tried it yet, so I wouldn't exactly know. The story looks to be pretty good though. It looks like this could be the best DS game of the year. But nothing more.
I need to buy another DS. I sold my first one because I was extremely unimpressed with the Nintendo DS line up, initially. I should have given it more time.
Well as of right now, it's either paying for the internet or buying Phantom Hourglass. I'm leaning towards the internet, because I haven't even beaten The Wind Waker yet, and I've recently become a Bomber, so I have to devote some time to that.
Phantom Hourglass does look good. Hopefully it is a breath of fresh air and a step in the right direction for Zelda.
I don't want to wait another month for this game, yet I lack the patience to emulate it on my DS, oh well.
