    So, the Pokeboards have been restarted, so I figure there's no better time to actually get involved with them.

    Anyway, let's start this with a kind of basic thread: your favorite Pokemon!

    Just post your favorite Pokemon (pictures welcome), and say why it's your favorite.

    I remember being only in first or second grade when the second generation was announced, and it was really mysterious for all of us dumb little kids. Oh God the rumors - Mewthree, Pikablu, etc. What wee weren't expecting was two new types, and plenty of cool Pokemon to back them up.

    I fell in love with Sneasel right away. It's a Dark/Ice type little monster, both cute and monstrous, cuddly and deadly. Also - random pointless feathers for the win.

    It's crazy awesome, majestic, badass, and adorable all in one. I haven't seen it to be the most useful thing ever in battle, but I don't care, it's so cool.

    Jolteon is by far my favourite Pokemon. It's just looks absolutely amazing and also, it has great battle properties to back itself up. Always a great Pokemon to have in your party.

    That's not an easy question. I can't say I have a single favourite... My favourites include Charizard, Ninetales, Arcanine, Alakazam, Cloyster, Haunter, Scyther, Gyarados... And that's just listing the Gen I ones.

    P.S. There's a reason they're in National Dex order :P

    I'm an old school fan, so I have to stick with Charizard. Red freakin' Dragon folks. Love it. That, and Charmander is cute and makes all the girls go gaga for coacoa puffs.

    That's a tough question for me, too. It's definitely a toss-up between Alakazam, Gardevoir, Gengar, and Misdreavus for me, partially because I like Psychic and Ghost types, and partially because the former two usually end up being the most powerful 'mons on my team.

    When I used to love Pokémon, Growlithe was my all-time favourite. It's a dog, one of my favourite animals, and it's a fire type (fire is my favourite element). And it's awesome.

    I also liked Poliwhirl, Squirtle, Dragonite, and Diglett.

    My favourite Pokémon would have to be Leavanny, because it's so friggin' awesome. It can take a lot of hits, and deal a lot of them too. It's great.

    I have to say I'm in love with all things Pikachu. Yeah, I know >.> I've been told many times that Pikachu is overrated, but frankly, I still love me my Pika! The first pokemon game I had was Pokemon Yellow.

    Now, if I had to rate my top 6 and make a team, it would be:
    Pikachu, Dragonair, Chickorita, Rapidash, Pidgeot, and Laparas.

    according to the OP you have to post a reason why.

    I have to say that I dont have a favorite pokemon per se since I like many of them but some that I really like include Kirlia,Beheeyem,deerling,gothita,shaymin,pachirisu,pusle and minun, mawile, sunflora,jumpluff,bellosom.espeon, and I guess that's it.

    I mostly like them because of their designs but other I like because of the stories they have to them.

    My favourite is Lucario.

    In my opinion he looks very cool and he has awesome aura powers.
    He's a very good pokemon in competitive battles too with his high attack and special attack + good speed.

    I agree with you there. The part where Mew and Mewtwo fight each other in the first Pokemon movie was pretty epic...

    ...Well, it was epic when I was about 8....

    I still really like them. And Mewtwo's appearance in Mewtwo Returns was just as good! :)
